Generally the academic session of IIUM Montessori consists of two semesters and four terms.
- 1st semester (5 months) from January till May.
- 2nd semester (5 months) from June till October.
Two months prior to the commencement of a new academic session, the academic staff under the supervision of the principal/coordinator prepares the yearly lesson plan. This is then further broken down into weekly lesson plans to assist the staff in teaching and learning processes.
On the commencement of the academic session, all pupils/parents are notified of their class timetable, briefed on their requirements, school’s rules and regulations, and other matters.
Holidays:
IIUM Montessori has its long holidays towards the end of the year - November and December. Besides this we also have short term breaks of 7 days after each term.
